A Warm Welcome to the Wonderful World of Blogging

I have to start out my first ever blog post by saying: I have always been somewhat against the whole "blogging" concept because I figure no one really cares about what I had to say. BUT! As I thought about it I decided this whole blogging process is more for me than anyone else. So to all you readers (the few, if any): Judge me if you will but, I hope you find enjoyment in reading about my life and if you don't, that's okay. I'll keep plugging along. :)

I feel like this first post should be a good one and was thinking I would tell interesting things about myself but most people already know all that stuff so I'm going to address the reasons why I am now part of the worldwide blogging community.

1. I'm going to LONDON! Julie and I applied to go to London for a study abroad and both (thankfully) got accepted! So we'll be packing our bags- which will prove to be very difficult I imagine for some of us (me)- and living in London for nearly four months. How lucky are we, seriously? So we will be taking off after winter break for a European adventure. This is really the reason I feel qualified to be interesting enough to create a blog. While I may not be all that interesting now, I sure will be in a few months!

2. Miss Katie Delis (my lovely roommate) has put up a quote in our kitchen from President Hinckley that I loooooove, "I am asking that we stop, seeking the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight. I am suggesting that as we go through life, we 'accentuate the positive.'... Look for the sunlight through the clouds." How much happier can we be if we really believe that!? I just love that girl and her happy happy personality. It's contagious. But anyway, there are just so many happy things out there and why not document them and share them with the world- or at least the people I love! I'm so in love with pictures and the one making me happy today is this:
Girls Laughing Photo, Uganda Picture - National Geographic Photo of the Day

3. There are those of you reading this that I think will actually be interested-- I'm talking to you Laurie ;) It's hard to stay in touch with everyone and it is just so much more convenient for people to (in addition to stalking facebook) read about what's going on in my world on your own time? I'll try to be as interesting as possible, or at least make it sound that way, for those that care!

4. Like I said earlier this is more for me than anyone else. It is just so much more fun to make things colorful and cute to record your life! It also relieves the stress that seems to ALWAYS encompass my life by finding the things that make me happy and sharing them. For example: we went on a beautiful hike in Logan this last weekend and the fall colors were just so beautiful I can't help but smile at the pictures.
Okay friends. I can't guarantee I'll be diligent with this but I'll do my best. I'll put a disclaimer out there that says I love pictures and I love quotes. So prepare for endless cheesy quotes and lots of fun pictures! Happy reading :)

  1. LOVE the blog - LOVE the mountains in the fall - and LOVE that you are going to London. Keep posting!

  2. welcome.
so glad we can be blog buds :)
