My Sister's Wedding: Annie & Josh

Your best friends getting married and you sister getting married? Whole different ball game. I feel like it was almost my wedding it kept me so busy! Shoe shopping, photographer browsing, manicures, bridal showers and dress fitting. Oh my.

There were 4 bridal showers: friends in Utah, family in Utah, ward friends in Virginia and family friends in Virginia. 3 Wedding receptions: Utah, DC, and Colorado. 2 very happy newly weds and 1 exhausted sister.

There's not much to say about all the events other than it was a great time. Annie and Josh know how to throw a party and keep it going for weeks. They are so happy and we're thrilled to have Josh be a part of the family.

I'll just do a little photo story (all pics stolen from the fabulously talented Griffin Harrington)...

First things first- manicures and pedicures. What else is there to do the day before the wedding? Getting pampered was followed by lunch and exploring in Park City. Annie had a couple friends fly in from Virginia so we had to see the sights!

The night before wedding day after we had a family dinner we explored Temple Square. Of course with the Christmas lights it's the best time to visit.

Morning of we got up bright and early, made a bagel run and started getting ready. My dear friend Amelia came and helped with our makeup and Annie had a friend help her out with her hair. We stayed right next to Temple Square so it was quite convenient.

After last minute airport runs, make up touchups and finally the sealing ceremony we got to congratulate the newly weds! It had been snowing all morning so we were being careful with the dress and freezing our butts off.

Then the party got started. The dancing got started early and probably would had never stopped if Grandpa Turner had anything to say about it! He was the life of the party. My dad made a sweet video too (that had everyone in tears I might add) and made the daddy daughter dance especially special for Annie. We had a great time!

After recovering from our post wedding colds, a honeymoon, and Christmas- we had the DC reception. It was at a place called Top of the Town with the most beautiful views of DC. It was really fun to celebrate again in our hometown with some of our dear friends. Especially in Annie's shorter dress that was actually my mom's that she got altered.

There was a Colorado reception too but I wasn't able to make it (nor was Griffin haha). I'm sure that was also fun. :)

We had a great time celebrating and now the newlyweds are settled in Provo starting their lives together. Congrats to Annie and Josh Burton!
